The North O Naming Project was a community effort supported by the Choice North Neighborhood Grant that engaged residents in dialogue and storytelling around identity, memory, and place. The process honored North Omaha’s history while envisioning its future, ultimately resulting in the names of two new housing developments: MLK Square and Malcolm’s Place.
